In this multi-body dynamics & hydraulics co-simulation:

  • Vessel subjected to 4m heave at 6s, inducing 2,5° pitch and 12° roll
  • Seaqualizer placed on main deck, placed 2 aft and 2 meter starboard from the center of gravity of the vessel
  • Gangway is supported by patented Balanced Heave Compensation (BHC) system
  • All relevant fluid-, & thermo dynamic effects are taken into account
  • Tip of the bridge is held stationary and reaction forces are measured
  • Results indicate a reduction of at least 94% in power requirements compared to a fully active motion compensated system
